Uzbek poet and scholar Tahir Kahhar visited ANAS Institute of Folklore
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev signed the Order on celebrating the 650th jubilee of the great Azerbaijani poet Imadeddin Nasimi on November 15, 2018. The work done by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Uzbekistan such as translation and publishing works of Imadeddin Nasimi is very estimable.
The conference “Imadeddin Nasimi and Uzbek Literature" was held at the International Press Center on the 28th of March organized by newspaper “Kaspi”, Educational Company “Kaspi” and Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center in Uzbekistan. Tahir Kahhar also attended the conference and reported about his work.
Interpreter of Imadaddin Nasimi’s works, Uzbek poet, Ph.D. in Philology visited ANAS Institute of Folklore to get acquainted with the collection, publication, translation and propagation of folklore in Azerbaijan. During the meeting with the Director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Imanov, were held discussions on the collection, development and expansion of relations between Azerbaijani and Uzbek folklore. M.Imanov informed the guest on the work carried out in the framework of the Order of AR President Ilham Aliyev “On the celebration of the 650th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet I.Nasimi”. The head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Ali Shami, also took part at the meeting.
