The editorial-publication section of the Institute of Folklore ANAS began its activity as the Computer Centre of Scientific-Cultural Centre of “Folklore Palace” in March, 2000, later it continued its activity as the editorial-publication house section of the Institute. From 2012 it is called as the editorial-publication section of the Institute. First of all, the section has been provided with necessary technical apparatus and the specialists. The folklore archive of the institute has been written on the computer and a lot of folklore materials have been saved in disc memory of the institute. One of the main functions of the section is to organize and to provide the publication works of the scientific works and collected folklore materials. During a short period 45 volumes of the international journal “Dede Gorgud” (2001-2012 years) have been prepared to the publication. The journal “Investigations about Azerbaijan folk literature” (from the 8th till the 40th volume) has been published. The publication “Anthology of Azerbaijan folklore” (23 volumes) which is not important only in ANAS scale, but generally, in Azerbaijan literary-cultural life has been collected and published. In general, during last 12 years more than 500 books and journals have been published by the Editorial-publication section.
