Our employee spoke about the Fire Tuesday “Od chershenbe” in Public TV

On the 1st of March in 2022 the Head of Department Folklore ceremony of the Institute of Folklore ANAS, PhD., associate professor Agaverdi Khalil was a guest on the program of ITV “Good Morning, Azerbaijan!”. In the program it was spoken about the mythological roots and historical development of Fire Tuesday. The Fire Tuesday was explained in the context of seasonal ceremonies of Turkic peoples. The features of the pre-Tuesdays celebrated in the regions of Azerbaijan have been clarified. The importance of preserving the ceremonial folklore, customs and traditions, folk beliefs as examples of intangible cultural heritage of our people was mentioned.
