The program about Garajaoglan
On the 9th of April the employee of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD Elchin Galiboglu was the guest of the program “Dastadan uzu beri” at the radio Azerbaijan. In the program it was talked about the activity of the 17th century famous Anatolian Turkish ashug-poet Garajaoglan. His poetry gave a strong impetus to the development of Turkish-language literature, as well as its subsequent expression of the beauty of the general Turkish literature. The rich observation in his activity, the kindred of strange country mood poems, clarity of language, serious respect for human attitude caused the emergence of legendary moments related to life, even becoming epos. As his activity is very native to the Azerbaijan people’s spirit, there have been legends about his living in our historical lands. Garajaoglan’s activity has had a serious impact on Azerbaijani ashug poetry.
At the program the samples from the poetry of Garajaoglan was presented by Folk’s Artist, famous announcer Eldost Bayram.
