Scientific Council of Institute of Folklore was held
On the 5th of February the next online meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS was held. Director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov began the meeting. He noted that the issues on the agenda were to change the structure of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS to make changes in the composition of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, to organize the attestation of nomenclature employees of the Institute of Folklore ANAS and the current issue was the publication of the book “Galali Mahallesi” by Gumru Shahriyar. On the first issue, the academician said that according to the decision of the Presidium of ANAS in the future, the deputy staff will be abolished and appointed as director of the institutes of Academy. In addition, relevant changes should be made in the Charter of ANAS, as well as the Charter of institutions. Then, speaking about the issues related to the structure, Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov spoke about the expediency of making some changes in the direction of improvement of the structure of the Institute according to the decision of the Presidium of ANAS № 1/2 dated January 8, 2021. The chairman of the council proposed the abolition of Gazakh-Borchali and Sheki sections. After a short discussion, the members of the Scientific Council voted for the abolition of the mentioned sections.
The second issue was about making changes in the structure of the Scientific Council of the Institute. Corresponding member of ANAS Kamran Aliyev’s death and PhD, associate professor Fidan Gasimova’s appointment to the Department of Education decided to make changes in the composition of the Scientific Council of the Institute. PhD, associate professor Fidan Gasimova was admitted to the Scientific Council. The information about the appointment of PhD, associate professor Sonmaz Abbasli as a responsible person for public relations was also given. Then, the issue of attestation of nomenclature employees of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS was considered. The members of the council recommended the joint cooperation of the commission with the heads of departments in the attestation process.
At the end of the meeting it was decided to publish the book “Galali Mahallesi” by Gumru Shahriyar by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute.
