The book “Qashgai’s and their folklore” by Ali Shamil has been published at the Institute of Folklore. The book is about the life and folklore of Qasgqai’s Turks. Qashgai is a nation with more than three million people, distinguished by bravery and fighting. This nation, distinguished by its struggle, lives in the south of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the present Persian Empire and its environs. Although about a million people consider themselves Qashqai, can not speak in the native language, since it is assimilated among the Persians. Qashgai’s, who lived in the south of the Islamic Republic of Iran two thousand kilometers away from Azerbaijan, preserved our dialects, folklore and traditions. Ali Shamil has included articles on his visits to Qashgai, about the connection of Qashgai with Azerbaijan, as well as folklore examples such as proverbs and sayings, quatrains, ceremonial songs, folk songs, children’s poems, riddles, believes, anecdotes, etc. The author also included examples from the activities of some folk poets such as Mirza mazun (Mahsun), Yusufali bey, Khosrov bey Garaganli, Muhammad Ibrahim, Gul Oruj, Huseynali bey Bayat, Nematullah bey Rahimli, Ali Sayildan, Haji Massi khan Garachayli, Hamrah and others. The head of the project of the book published in the publishing house “Elm ve tehsil” is academician Mukhtar (Kazimoglu) Imanov, head of the Institute of folklore of ANAS. The editor of the book is PhD Arif Rahimoglu, Alipanah Bayramov, consultants are Amin Jahangirniya, Jafar Eyvezi Yadikuri and Ersalan Mirzayi.
