The book “Tales and fables about the animals” has been published
The monographic book “Tales and fables about the animals” by PhD Sevinj Aliyeva, the senior researcher of the Department of Folklore and Written Literature of the Institute of Folklore of ANAShas been published.
In the book the tales and fables about animals have been comparatively investigated in Azerbaijani literature, revealing the peculiarities of each genre the semantics of written literature, tales and fables with oral art have been studied.
In the book from chronological point of view in Azerbaijani literature from the 12th century to the modern period, scientific arguments and factual materials are proved that the main themes, motives, the system of images originate from fairy tales about animals. The world literature on this topic was also addressed.
In general this monograph, which is based on the samples of Azerbaijani oral and written literature, explores similar and different features of fairy tales, serves to illuminate the interaction of folklore with written literature at a new record.
The scientific editor of the publication is the corresponding member of ANAS Kamran Aliyev and the reviewers are professors Maharram Gasimli and Ramazan Gafarli.
