Seminar on the theme “Perspectives of studying semantic facts in psychoanalytic context in Novruz holiday” was held
On the 9th of December PhD, associate professor Safa Garayev held a scientific seminar on the theme “Perspectives of studying semantic facts in psychoanalytic context in Novruz holiday” at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS.
Opening the event, Professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy, head of the Department of Mythology of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, spoke about the prospects of studying mythical facts in the psychoanalytic context, new opportunities of psychoanalytic approach to folklore, spoke about the historical role of Z.Freud’s and K.G.Yung’s theoretical approaches in understanding the facts of folklore. Then, he brought to the attention of the participants of the event that the research conducted on the study of semantic facts in the psychoanalytic context may open new opportunities for deeper scientific study of the holiday.
Then Safa Garayev’s report was heard. The study of folklore from the psycho-analytic point of view gives a brief look at the history of the development of practice, Garayev said that this method had exceptional opportunities in studying Novruz rituals and beliefs. Then, the reporter took a look at the semantics of re-creation of the world of behavior and beliefs in Novruz holiday and brought to the attention of the participants of the event examples of analysis of these facts in psychoanalytic context.
Later, the report was widely discussed by folklorists, the reporter S.Garayev answered numerous questions of the participants.
