Academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov reported on the theme “Huseyn Javid and world literature” at the scientific conference
On the 12th of April the scientific conference on the theme “Huseyn Javid and the world literature” was held at the Azerbaijan Languages University. Speaking at the conference, the rector, academician Kamal Abdulla spoke about the rich creativity of prominent Azerbaijani poet and playwright Huseyn Javid and noted his invaluable contribution to literature. In his speech the rector mentioned that Huseyn Javid who developed the most beautiful traditions of classical literature, is also known as one of the founders of the 20th century Azerbaijani romance. Javid being the lyric, poet of love, love and poetry, along with lyric-epic works, is the author of the first tragedies and dramas in Azerbaijani literature: “Huseyn Javid was the nobleman of Azerbaijani literature. He is a follower of the traditions and lines of great Azerbaijani poet Mohammed Fuzuli in literature”.
Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, head of the Azerbaijan Literature Department of ASU, academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov made a report on the theme “Human width in Javid’s art” at the conference. The scientist said that if we talk about the direct or indirect expression of Azerbaijani philosophy in Azerbaijani literature, we should name Huseyn Javid, along with masters such as Jalil Mammadguluzade, Mirza Alakbar Sabir, Muhammad Hadi, Abbas Sahhat. Because, like those craftsmen, Huseyn Javid has written off the people’s hearts and has written beautiful works such as “Sheida” and “Azer”, which speak directly about the life of Azerbaijan. If we talk about the expression of the ideology of Turkishness in our literature, we should name Huseyn Javid before our other artists.
