An event dedicated to “Science Day” was held at the Institute of Folklore
On the 29th of March at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS the meeting of the young scientists of the Institute with the students of the Philology Faculty of Sumgayit State University was held. The event was opened by the chairman of the Young Scientists’ Council of the Institute, Doctor of Philological Sciences, associate professor Nail Gurbanov. He also talked about the importance of celebrating the Science Day in Azerbaijan, the prospects of attracting young people to science and the actual problems of humanities.
Then the employee of the Institute, Ph.D. Elchin Galiboghlu reported a speech and emphasized that the main task of science in contemporary times was to contribute to humanity. In his speech he mentioned that the work done by the Institute of Folklore is very important for our present time and future. Scientific secretary of the Institute, Ph.D., associate professor Elchin Abbasov emphasized the necessity of youth participation in science, gave information about the richness of the Folklore Institute and interest in folklore and spiritual heritage. Then the questions of students of Sumgayit State University were answered and publications of the Folklore Institute were presented to them.
