The researchers were awarded with Honorary Diploma at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS
On the 27th of December in 2022 at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS some researchers were awarded with Honorary Diplomas through the Humanitarian department of ANAS. Opening the meeting Director General of the Institute of Folklore ANAS, academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov mentioned that many events were held on the occasion of the declaration of 2022 as the year of Shusha by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Institute of Folklore also carried out a lot of collection, research and systematization work in this area such as the books from the series “Karabakh: folklore is also a history” published during 2012-2015 years, the research work carried out by S.Abbasli about the genre and system of ceremonies of Karabakh folklore, etc. The conferences were also held in this direction. In 2014 together with the Executive Power of Tartar region the conference on the theme “Karabakh folk games and square performances in all-Turkic context” was held in Tartar region and in 2017 the project “Karabakh folk games and square performances” was carried out together with the Science Development Fund. At the same time, in this field the Folklore Studio had recorded Karabakh music: mugham pieces, classifications, folk songs, as well as the epos “Valeh and Zarnigar” in the form of a disc.
Academician Mukhtar Kazımoglu-Imanov mentioned that the researches of the last two years on the subject of Karabakh and noted that during that period the Institute of Folklore published a research work consisting of five books. Two of these books were the first and second volumes of “Zangazur folklore examples”, in which Etibar Talibli had a great hard work. Three books consist of research based on Zangazur folklore materials. Then the academician spoke about the establishment of the chair for the research of Karabakh and Zangazur folklore under UNESCO lines and the support of the state and scientific institutions of Turkey in this work.
The General Director of the Institute of Folklore spoke about the report meeting held in the near future with the participation of the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, Directors of the Institutes and the presentation and announcement of honorary decrees by the Presidium of Academician Isa Habibbeyli and the Department of Humanities of ANAS. Academician Mukhtar Kazımoğlu-Imanov spoke about the scientific activity of the employees of the Institute of Folklore, who were awarded with the honorary decree of the Humanities Department of ANAS and presented the honorary decrees to these employees such as Professor Afzaladdin Asgar, PhD. Sonmez Abbasli, PhD. Sarkhan Khaveri, PhD., associate professor Etibar Talibli, PhD. Hikmet Guliyev, PhD. Safa Garayev, PhD. Aposh Valiyev, PhD. Ilkin Rustamzade, PhD. Gumru Shahriyar, Doctor of Sciences in Philology Islam Sadigov. At the end of the meeting Mukhtar Imanov congratulated the awarded employees and thanked the Department of Humanitarian Sciences of ANAS, in particular, academician Isa Habibbayli, President of ANAS.
