The employee of the Folklore Institute participated in the International Women’s Studies Congress “Being a Woman in the Turkic World” in Turkey
On the 5th-7th of December the International Congress of Women’s Studies “Being a Woman in the Turkic World” was held in Bursa, the fourth city of Turkey. The Congress held within the framework of the “Turkic World Capital of Culture - Bursa-2022” project was organized by Bursa City Municipality and Uludag University. The scientists and well-known researchers from Moldova, Ukraine, Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and many other countries made various interesting reports at the International Women’s Studies Congress “Being a Woman in the Turkic World”.
At the plenary session chaired by Professor Handan Asude Bashal the leading researcher of the Institute of Folklore, associate professor Sakina Gaybaliyeva made an interesting report on the theme “Woman in Azerbaijani Folklore”. The participation of Gulnar Seyitvaniyeva, the granddaughter of Ismayil bey Gaspirali, a well-known thinker in the history of science and culture of the Turkish world, in the Congress was interesting for the researchers.
S. Gaybaliyeva was presented with the “Award of Appreciation” by Amina Yavuz Gozgech, the chairman of the meeting and the guest of honor of the Congress, a member of the Parliament Justice Commission. The International Women’s Studies Congress “Being a Woman in the Turkish World” finished its work on the 7th of December.
