The scientific study devoted to Internet folklore was published in the journal indexed in the databases “Web of Science” and “Scopus”
The article called “Perception of the parodic hero in the context of Internet folklore: social protest and cultural transition to adulthood” by the scientific secretary at the service of the vice-president of ANAS, senior researcher of the Institute of Folklore, PhD, associate professor Hikmat Guliyev was published in the journal “National Folklore” included in the database “Web of Science” and “Scopus”. The journal “National Folklore”, which has been operating since 1989, is currently indexed in a number of prestigious international scientific databases, including “Web of Science” and “Scopus” (H-index 10, Q3). Since 1998 the journal, which specializes in the publication of research conducted in the fields of folklore, ethnology, anthropology, literature and culture, has been on international bases. The research was conducted on the basis of the synthesis of scientific-theoretical ideas presented in modern approaches related to folklore studies, cultural studies and communication. The research, created in a multidisciplinary context, embodies the results of the joint scientific research conducted in recent years between the Institute of Folklore of ANAS and the Institute of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The research was conducted on the basis of the synthesis of scientific-theoretical ideas presented in modern approaches related to folklore studies, cultural studies and communication. In the article the scientific results and conclusions by H. Guliyev about the research of Internet folklore in recent years. For the first time, the scientist analyzed the facts of creation in the virtual folklore environment of the Azerbaijani language in the context of Internet folklore based on the socio-anthropological approach and studied the new specifics that traditional images, motifs and plots gained in the virtual social environment. Taking into account that socio-cultural processes, including folklore, are carried out in the internet environment and social media, the author mentioned that this reality has led to the emergence of new meanings both in form, content and style. It was noted that Internet folklore originates from traditional cultural memory and thought mechanisms, but also becomes relevant in the context of current social reality, so the Azerbaijani language virtual folklore environment is also important in terms of the analysis of social processes and the determination of current trends. The study is devoted to the interpretation of the psychogenesis of the parodic hero concept that appeared in the Azerbaijani virtual folklore environment.
