The event “Yunus Emre ashigleri”
On the 5th of May in 2022 the International Mugham Center, Yunus Emre Institute and the Pearl of the World Music Treasury with the joint Organization of Mugham Public Union held an evening called “Yunus Emre ashigleri”. At the concert held at the International Mugham center, accompanied by the Folklore Ensemble “Gorgud” of the Institute of Folklore ANAS, General Director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov spoke about the invaluable services of the Great Turkish Ozan in the development of Turkic poetry, reaching the highest peak of mystic literature. In his speech the academician mentioned the philosophical aspects of Yunus Emre’s activity. Then the artistic director of the Folklore Ensemble “Gorgud”, Honored artist, mugham performer Nuriyya Huseynova, reader Halimat Sultan, soloists - Ulviyya Sadagat and Chilanay Huseynli performed poems and songs composed to Yunus Emre’s works. Turkey Orhan Cakmak from Turkey also performed songs composed by the famous Turkish poet lyrics. A group of intellectuals and artists, masters, as well as Turkish businessmen attended the event.
