On the 22nd of February in 2022 the leading scientific worker of Department Dede Gorgud of the Institute of Folklore ANAS, PhD., associate professor Nigar Hasanova was a guest on the program of ITV “Good Morning, Azerbaijan!”. She informed about the place, celebration and history of Novruz holiday in the ceremonial culture of the Azerbaijani people. At the same time she spoke about the customs of the pre-Tuesdays, especially Water Tuesday. N.Hasanova also drew attention to the traditions of pre-Tuesdays, which are observed in various regions of Azerbaijan, including Karabakh, Nakhchivan and Daralayaz. She gave many examples of beliefs and Turkic remedies related to water and noted proverbs. It was noted that the cult of water, the sanctification of water allows us to study a number of ideas, the ancient worldview of our people.
