Our employee participated in the International Symposium in Turkey
On the 27th-30th September of International Altai Communities Symposium was held in Bursa, Turkey. At the symposium the leading researcher of the department of Folklore collection and systematization of the Institute of Folklore, PhD, associate professor Aynur Jalilova also participated. A.Jalilova made a report on the theme “Elixir motif in Turkic epics”, in the report for the first time the motive of elixir in the epics of love and heroism with elixir (water of eternal life) was studied, the connection of drinking with shamanism, Sufism and ashug literature was clarified. The mythological character of the goblet, its types, its position in the genre of the epos are based on examples. The demonstration of the slide based on medieval miniatures reflecting the goblet motif attracted the interest of the symposium participants. The report will be published in the collection of symposium materials by the end of the year.
