The scientific conference on the theme “Our power is in our unity”
On the 15th of December in 2017 in Ismayilli city the scientific conference on the theme “Our power is in our unity” was held with the organizational activities of ANAS Institute of Folklore and Ismayilli Region Authority Government. At the same time the presentation of the book “Folklore of the limited nations” devoted to the limited nations (lahij, lezgi, hapit and molokan) living in the region Ismayilli was also held. The representatives of the Ismayilli Region Authority Government, including the director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Imanov, educated men of the region Ismayilli, municipal heads, folklore groups of Lahij and Ivanovka took part at the meeting. The meeting was opened by S.Ahmadova’s speech, then the academican Mukhtar Imanov reported the theme about the perspectives and problems of the regional folklore-study. The compilers of the book “Folklore of the limited nations” (Book 2) Atesh Ahmedli and Dadash Aliyev gave information about the scientific importance, the informatory of the collected texts, etc. At the end of the conference the local folklore ensembles showed the interesting concert program.
