The employees of the Institute of Folklore took part at the international scientific symposium in Erzinjan
On the 11th-13th of May “The International Symposium of Meskhetian Turks” was held in the city of Erzinjan of Turkey with the help of Erzinjan University, the World Unity of Meskhetian Turks, Erzinjan Municipal Administration and TIKA.
The representatives from Azerbaijan were about ten people. The employees of the Institute of Folklore ANAS alto took part at the symposium. Ph.D. Tahir Orujov reported the article “The main peculiarities of jokes by Meskhetian Turks”, Ph.D. Atesh Ahmedli reported the article “The native land regret in the folklore of Meskhetian Turks (on the base of “mani”- quatrains) and Gumru Shahriyar presented her report “Ashug Sefi from Meskhetian: life and mastership” at the symposium.
