On the 31st of January a group of schoolchildren of Baku city 232 with the teacher of Azerbaijan language and literature Kamina Zalova were the guests of the Institute of Folklore ANAS. The visit was carried out in the inner-scholastic project. It means schoolchildren visit the different Institutes of ANAS, try to get information about their work principles and have time with them periodically.
The guests were met by the director of Institute of Folklore, the corresponding member of the ANAS Mukhtar Imanov and he introduced the work activity of the Institute to them.
During the conversation Prof. M.Imanov has told about the necessity of the science with the education and mentioned the special attention of the leadership of the ANAS in these problems. Mentioning this visit as the first and important step for the future collaboration M.Imanov told about the importance of such visits.
In the meeting listening the pupils’ thoughts about the folklore and answering their questions M.Imanov told about the importance of the folklore examples, their roles in the social, cultural and spiritual life. In the meeting some traditions and ceremonies about Novruz holiday were also discussed.
At the end M.Imanov thanked the guests for their visit and invited the schoolchildren to the Novruz holiday which is regularly celebrated at the Institute every year. The guests also thanked to the leadership of the Institute of Folklore for such meeting and their special attention.
