Folklore Studio will operate the chain of films about the history and traditions of the limited nations
The main activities of the ANAS Institute of Folklore are the collection, compilation and investigation of folklore examples. In addition, the promotion of folklore samples of Azerbaijan and recognition are also among the goals and objectives of the institute. That is why with the line of Folklore Studio, operating at the Institute the disc albums reflecting different areas of Azerbaijan folklore music are released.
The chief of the studio Mahir Ibrahimov in his interview to AZERTAJ has told that in July 2016 has begun removal-construction works initiated by ANAS President Academician Akif Alizade and as a result of works done the studio had a modern appearance. As a result of the done works the studio has formed in a ne design. Producer of the studio is Gasim Naghiyev, operator – Alisaftar Mammadov, sound producer – Iffet Asgerov, sound technician – Ramin Abdullayev.
Moreover, the album consists of 20 tracks (audio CD) was released by “Irs” (Heritage) ensemble of the Institute of Folklore. Album relying on selections from “Kitabi Dede-Gorgud” and “Koroghlu” sagas has been released within the ANAS’s project “Let's not forget our past!” “Guba Jews” ethnographic documentary film (33 minutes) is also one of the studio's successful works. The dance program was developed from the ancient national dances here.
Currently, within the project studio intends to cast series of films, consisting of two parts, about history and traditions of indigenous peoples living in Azerbaijan, including multicultural values, which have shifted into a way of life of our people.
