The famous turkologists of Turkey took part in the scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore
On the 16th of November the scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore organized the next meeting. The meeting was opened by the correspondent member of ANAS, the director of the Institute of Folklore Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov, then he introduced the Professor Osman Fikri Sartgaya who is the head of the department Turkish language and literature at the Istanbul University and Professor Fikrat Turkman who is the director of the Turk World Investigations Center. Muktar Imanov mentioned both great educated men’s rich scientific activity, he also told his thoughts about their activities.
Then Professor Fikrat Turkman made a report on the theme “The theoretical directions of the investigations about the folk laugh”. He mentioned the investigations about the laugh culture in Azerbaijan and estimated the investigations carried out by M.Kazimoglu-Imanov very much.
Professor Orkhan Fikri Sartgaya made a report on the theme of the turkology problems. The guests answered all questions of the members of the Scientific Council. Muktar Kazimoglu-Imanov thanked them for their visit and presented the publications and books of the Institute to the guests.
